We hear it from people all the time…
“I see your trucks everywhere.”
Who would have guessed that what began in 1994 as two guys on bikes delivering hoagies and making bank deposits would grow into a business so well recognized on the roads of Western North Carolina?
Robert Farmer purchased Asheville Courier in 2000 from its original owners, who founded the business as traditional Asheville courier services with all services completed on bicycles. While we maintained the traditional courier model with our downtown bicycle service, it became evident that an efficient, reliable delivery service with a vast coverage area was what WNC needed. We quickly outgrew our downtown office and moved to a small warehouse on Buxton Avenue. With an expanded fleet of vehicles, we developed relationships with regional and national carriers while continuing to effectively service the greater Asheville area’s local businesses. In 2006, we again outgrew our warehouse and moved to a 5000 square foot warehouse on Hendersonville Road just south of downtown.
As we continue our healthy growth, we remain a local, family-owned business. We are committed to fast, friendly, and reliable service. It is our primary goal to maintain the most acknowledged and respected courier business in Western North Carolina by consistently offering prompt, professional service at affordable rates.
